Kingsley Amis

Kingsley Amis was a British novelist, poet, critic, and teacher who was one of the leaders of the Angry Young Men movement in the 1950s. He wrote more than 20 novels, including Lucky Jim, The Old Devils, and Jake’s Thing, as well as poetry, essays, and memoirs. He was known for his comic and satirical style, his social commentary, and his curmudgeonly persona.
