With eyes like melted merle, bright and keen,
He dances on the breeze, a whirlwind evergreen.
Australian Shepherd, spirit light and free,
Born of mountains high and sun-kissed prairie sea.

His coat, a tapestry of black and tan and white,
Mirrors the clouds that paint the day and night.
He herds the breeze with joyful, silent bound,
His whistle blows a symphony, on open ground.

He nips at heels with playful, patient grace,
Guiding flocks unseen, in his heart’s embrace.
His loyalty unwavering, a love of work and play,
He chases frisbees high, then melts his cares away.

With boundless energy, he runs and leaps and spins,
His boundless heart knows no beginning, no end within.
He snuggles close, a furry warmth at your side,
A loyal friend, in whom you can confide.

So raise your eyes to where the eagles soar,
He’ll meet your gaze, and ask for just one more
Thrill of frisbee, chase across the field,
The Aussie wind, forever unrevealed.
